Chamber Singers will feature works commissioned and premiered by the choir during he last five years, including O magnum mysterium by Juilliard composer Wayne Oquin, and Singing For Water by Mohican composer Brent Michael Davids. The latter work is performed in support of the struggles by Native American Water Protectors on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, and for people everywhere who are fighting for a livable planet for future generations. The Vocal Jazz portion of the concert will showcase the amazing improvisation talents of the group's members, and premiere performance by UW-Whitewater's newest ensemble, Vocal Jazz Turnaround.
